KidRock- Is basically a club which is both for under and over 18's. It's a venue which is only open on Friday and Saturday with a band playing every day its open. The tickets have been decided to be sold only at the venue, and the website provides all information in which needs to be known to customers and people involved with the club. Therefore, basically we have the promotional documents such as the brochures and flyer's, although the major promotional document will the the website as more people can access it, making it easier for people to hear about the venue.

For the assignment we used a variety of software in order to make the venue and everything that goes with it. This included that of Microsoft Office Publisher, Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Front Page, Paint, Blogger and The Internet- in order to find information on the bands, upload the Internet page, and have sources for the video's and music.

For this assignment, our group consisting of Brianna, Melanie and myself, had the problem that we hardley ever had a lesson where we were all present. This was because of the fact that Brianna had school sport days that she had to attend, Melanie had piano and I had Entertainment. So, therefore we were limited on the lessons were we could work as a group.
Although throughout the time that was given, I did manage to do all the promotional components and have an imput in other sections of the assignment. I designed and completed the flyers, brouchers, tickets and business cards. I also did a summery about all the bands that are on the list to play at our club KidRock along with links to their band pages.I have also included a small list of terms and conditions which will apply to the venue. I have also helped Melanie to create small parts of the actual website, and helped her design and complete the database for the bands.
With the time that was given, I believe that we weren't sufficient with the time we were given, as there were still large components left towards the due date of the assignment.
Although there were a few problems, I believe that we did work well together, and would be very capable of running our own nightclub :).
Although I do think that we may have had a problem with our communication between the group as there was some components which weren't agreed on when we were designing parts of the assignment, even after one of us had started with a particular idea. another problem we had was the fact that I found it hard to find audio for the bands as to put onto the site. Although I did have links to youtube video's I just wasn't sure if that would be good enough. Although because we didnt really manage our time well enough there wasn't enough time tawords the end to find and download suitable songs and then figure out how to upload them onto the website, in time for the due date.
As a group we did manage to have many ideas that were helpful along the way. Although it did take us along time to come up with and agree on an idea for the name of the club, with us finally settling on the name KidRock a couple of weeks before it was due. Other idea's we had involved the website, and the ways that we could make it work and look better for our favour. We added sections into it, and made other sections - including those of the promotional doucuments - simple enough that people will read them, but also appealing to the eye, so as too attract attention and hopefully gain customers.
When we did finally agree on the name of KidRock, we silently succeded as we started to work a lot faster and get the parts of the assignment done. This is what drove us to complete the task. Overall, the way we worked together was good, because we wern't affraid to say our idea's to eachother which ment that we had a relaxed enviroment (when we wern't stressing over when it was due), and that we could build idea's off eachother.
With that I do believe that our final product was at a high standard and am confident that we completed all parts of the assignment to a satisfactory level. I am happy with the group that I was placed with and beleive that we all had an equal imput tawords the final product.
